  • How to choose a newborn photographer?

Choosing a newborn photographer requires careful consideration to ensure you find the right one for capturing those precious early moments of your baby's life. Here are some tips to help you make an informed decision:

    1. Research and make a shortlist: Start by researching newborn photographers in your area. Look at their websites, portfolios, and any online reviews or testimonials. Make a shortlist of photographers whose work and style you admire.

    2. Determine your preferred style: Think about the style of photography you prefer for your baby's portraits. Do you like posed, studio-style images, or do you prefer a more natural and lifestyle approach? This will help narrow down your choices.

    3. Check their experience and expertise: Look for photographers who specialize in newborn photography and have experience working with babies. Newborn photography requires specific skills and techniques, so it's important to choose someone who knows how to handle newborns safely.

    4. Consider safety measures: Safety should be a top priority when selecting a newborn photographer. Ensure they have appropriate training and take necessary precautions to keep your baby safe during the session.

    5. Inquire about packages and pricing: Ask about the photographers' pricing, packages, and what is included. Consider your budget and what you want to receive, such as digital files or printed photographs.

Remember to start your search for a newborn photographer early to secure a spot in their schedule, as they often book in advance.

  • Is it safe to photograph newborn when he is 5-12 days old?

Safety is a top priority for me especially during newborn photography. I will never pose your baby just to make a photo, I always make sure that baby is in the safe position before taking any photo. Some of the photos you see are actually a composites of 2 different images combined together in Photoshop on the editing stage.

  • How far in advance I should book a newborn photo shoot?

It is recommended to book a newborn photographer during the second trimester of pregnancy. Here are some reasons why booking early is important:

    1. **Availability**: Newborn photographers often have limited availability due to the high demand for their services. Booking early ensures you secure a spot on their schedule.

    2. **Planning**: By booking in advance, you can discuss your preferences, ideas, and any specific requests with the photographer, allowing them to prepare adequately for the session.

    3. **Timing**: Newborn photography sessions are typically scheduled within the first 14 days of the baby's life when they are still sleepy and easily posed. Booking early ensures you can schedule the session at the ideal time.

    4. **Peace of Mind**: Securing a booking early alleviates the stress of finding a photographer last minute and guarantees that you have professional images of your newborn to cherish for a lifetime.

Please note that not all babies are born as scheduled and feel free to contact me for late availability requests.

  • How long does a newborn photo shoot take?

Newborn photo shoot can last up to 3 hours, which gives enough time to make photos, settling a baby and to feed a baby when required.

  • Do you have props or do we need to provide them?

I have a big choice of newborn props and will take them with me for your newborn photo shoot. If you have any special requests, please let me know in advance of your newborn photo shoot and I will be happy to source them.

  • What kind of photos do you usually do as part of newborn photo shoot?

The focus during newborn photo shoot is always on your baby. I prefer to start the photo shoot from baby in a basket moving to baby on a blanket and finishing with baby with parents or siblings.

  • When my photos will be ready?

I usually upload photos to your online private gallery within 2 weeks after newborn photo shoot. If you have printing products in your oder it may take 2-3 weeks before they can be dispatched.

  • What printing products can I order?

I offer wide range of printing products - prints in different sizes, framed prints, photo albums, canvases and etc. If you are interested in printing products please feel free to contact me for a fee quote.

  • Can I schedule newborn or baby photo session on the weekend?

Yes, I do baby or newborn photo shoot on the weekends, but there is a £100 surcharge for weekend or bank holiday photo session
